Jackson's age/ Terrarium Size

I'm so happy I ordered and got my first chameleon. He's a beautiful jackson's chameleon and I love the little guy. I have two leopard gecko's as well. I plan on getting a lot more but here are my questions. I'm wondering how old my little man is and how often he should really be fed a week. He hasn't been eating tons and i supply him with a bowl in the cage hanging in the back of it. It's very accessible and he has definately seen it. I have some dubia roaches in there at the moment. Anyway the roaches have been in there for two days now and haven't been touched. Also i ordered some phoenix worms and some hornworns which will be here very soon. I'm also wondering if his 18x18x36 reptibreeze terrarium is a little too big for him or if it's suitable.

Hard to tell how old he is in the pictures since there isn't much to compare him to. Based on his horns though, I'd say at least 10 months? I'd even say around a year might be more accurate. How long is he roughly?

Some chameleons will use cups, some won't. My Jackson's does use his cup, but he most definitely prefers to "hunt". I'll stick a dubia or hornworm on a branch nearby and he'll snatch them up.

18x18x36" seems like an OK size to start. Although you might find yourself upgrading to at least a 2x2x4 soon!

He is probably around 5 in. Long and he hunts crickets pretty well but if I put Dubias on a branch and he doesn't eat it won't it just run off and never be found haha?! Idk it's my first chameleon and compared to feeding my geckos this is tough, he hasn't hand fed yet so I'm waiting patiently. I also have some hornworms and Phoenix worms coming in, maybe he'll enjoy them!

Is that 5" with tail extended or just body?

My 16 month old Jacksons is 5" body length or 8" with his tail almost completely straight out.

I just watch the dubia on the branch. If it takes off, I grab it and put it back in his eyesight.

I would say he's 7 in total with tail extended and yeah idk if he will eat with me hovering over him lol Ill try though, and the place I got them from, sent me really tiny Dubias. So next time I order I'm getting medium-large ones. The first day I put him in his terrarium he munched down 3, 1/2" crickets no problem.

Then my guess would be he's around a year or so.

He is settling in, so give him some time. Just make sure he's well hydrated!

Oh he is most def. well hydrated! I had a dripper and humidifier and sprayed. Then I got a misting system, a heavy duty humidifier that's cold mist and ultrasonic and all, he's so spoiled and I take care of him so much. He does seem pretty healthy and I've only had him for a week and 3 days now so I'm letting him acclimate. He is adventuring through the terrarium more so I think he's getting used to it
