Jackson color meanings

My chameleon Basil(F Jackson around 1 year old) changes from dark green to red to blue to yellow etc etc, and she even used to have red dots on her sides. I’ve read articles that say bright colors like blue and yellow are good things. But I’ve also read that they can mean stress or a warning signal towards others. I just wanted to know once and for all what these colors mean. She seems happy and active when she is yellow, but when she is stressed she turns brown and black

I’ve never heard of a Jackson’s showing red! I have a male Jackson’s and he only ever is different shades of green with some teal and yellow. He’s a Xanthalophus. What is yours?

Yes, some female xantholophus go through a reddish phase that they normally grow out of around one year of age.

Here are some of her colors. The one where she is sleeping is when she was younger, showing the red spots. The brighter one is her knowing she is about to be fed(very happy lol). The one where she is looking right at the camera is when I just walked into my room and saw her. the one where she is yellow and crawling around is her at the vet waiting to see the doc.
