Jackson Chameleon Sleeping a lot

So my girlfriend has a jackson chameleon and he was acting 100% normal except he seemed to have signs of mouth rot from what i read online. I then told her to take him to the vet so we did and they agreed it was mouth rot and gave us two things to get rid of it, one is like a neosporin substance i am supposed to put on his lips and there is a mark on his eye, the other is a liquid i'm suppose to force open his mouth and inject. ever since the appointment (yesterday) he has been sleepin or so my girlfriend says, she woke up to give him his dose we are suppose to give every 12 hours and picked him up and he was still asleep through the whole thing, barely moving, he did turn brown to show he was unhappy with it and then she put him back in and he clung onto the branch, but eyes were closed the whole time. she went to work and just got back and he is still sleeping, she picked him up and he didn't wake up again. from what i read that is bad so i told her to call the vet. but while she is calling and i'm waiting for a call back i figured i would try this because this is the site i have gotten all my information.
Thanks for any help. anything you need from me i.e. pictures, more info, ect let me know i will do my best to get them from her and put it up.

This is our first chameleon and we have only had him 2 months but he has been eatting normally and drinking ( except for the last 20 hours or so where he is barely moving and just sleeping )

Someone please help my girlfriend is more attached to her baby more than anything i have to do all i can to get him healthy again.

Also she told me the vet just said it's critical most likely I'm thinking don't give the medicine any more. She also thinks he
May now be foaming out his mouth. Drug reaction?

WHat type of oral medicaton did they give you? Sounds like that induced the problem if he was fine before hand. Sleeping through that whole medice administering is not really good. Hate to be pessimistic, but it doesn't sound like there is much else you can do.

It sounds like an inexperienced vet when it comes to exotics /: If he wasn't sleeping before the meds it would seem the meds caused a disastrous reaction... I would try if your willing, to find another vet more experienced with chams and see if they can rescue him from this spiral

I'm not to sure but I will get that info as soon as I can ( I'm at work and have to wait until a break to talk to her because I have no phone service just Internet. But she cleaned out the cage real quick in case it was anything jn there, misted him and put new food in last I checked.Okay I got it ncm that first part and if I hack the spelling I heard it over heytell but baytril or something is the liquid and and triple antibiotic neopoly back. Is the ointment
