For the love of God please do as advised, and look at the care sheets, and watch this video. Everything you may have learned about veiled does NOT apply here. They are more sensitive to supplementation, They need more humidity, and they need things cooler. Some may disagree with me, but I don't consider this a first time species especially for someone like you who don't want too take advise don't mean to come off as a prick, and I'm sorry. But I implore you please listen to the advice and act on it for the sake of this poor little chameleon.

I read that they should have stuff at the bottom then I read nothing should be down there then ibwas told to keep it down there but I'm sure he's better off without it

What you need is drainage. You're going to use a lot of water and drying it up with paper towels is going to be a pain in the ass and the bank.
Also, more plants! Live plants are the best. Pothos are good vines. You can get like 6 at the store and grow them, they grow pretty quickly. Kentia palm and schefflera are good too.

Your chameleon appears to be about 5-7 months old. When he is an adult, he will look like this:
Right now, you have a baby so be sure to follow the guidelines for juvenile Jackson's chameleons.
Temperature:
Baby/juvenile (<9 months): 70-75F (21-23C) ambient, 75-80F (23-26C) basking
Humidity:
60-80% with dips as low as 50% during the day. Mist entire enclosure 3-4 times daily.
This should not cause drainage problems.
Feeding:
Juveniles 3-6 months of age: 10-12 small crickets daily (I feed mine 5-6 feeders in the morning and 5-6 in the afternoon.)
Supplements:
Calcium without D3 - once every other day as a juvenile (2-3 times a week as an adult)
Calcium with D3 - two times a month
Multivitamin - two times a month
No liquid calcium!
Enclosure:
No substrate.
No water dish. Use dripper instead.
No log "hide" in the bottom. The cham won't use it but the feeders will.
Live plants help with humidity.
Add more vines or horizontal dowels.
Move some fake leaves from the back wall and move them to the middle and front of the enclosure
near vines so he can hide behind them if he likes.

This OP feels they have everything in order, but they don't. Read back through the posts. To top it off I can almost guarantee that they won't take any new advise until they see signs of failure....by this time it is too late.
