IZ hates me

IZ is my three month old panther. I have had him since last thursday, he eats and drinks. He will not eat out of the feeding cup, idk if he can not find it or what. He will not eat off tongs but if I set it in front of him hill snatch it right up. But my girlfriend came over today and IZ perked right up and came right to the top when she grabbed a cricket and snatched it from her, when he sees me he wants to hide lol. Should I still feed him the way I am or should I wait till he finds his cup? I almost thinks he likes the thrill of hunting better than it being fed to him witch is natural. any advice?

Its what your preference is actually, some people cup feed and others free range their feeders, personally i cup feed because my guy just turned 3 months, and i fed 1/8" crickets and some of them actually were able to get through the mesh and squeeze through some cracks in the enclosure... so whenever i threw some crickets into the cage i would have to sit there for a bit catching any that managed to find their way out haha. Ive found that my guy cupfeeds which is awesome for me . What kind of cup are you using and where is it in the cage? Your cham might not be able to see the feeders in the cup. I placed mine hanging on the side of the cage just below mid level so that hes almost looking down into the cup. Let us know what you decide if you are going to continue cup feeding search "modified milk jug" in the search, and you will find a sweet cup feeder, i made one and its awesome

i took a 2 liter bottle and cuts 3/4 of it off then pinned it below mid level with branches over hanging it. I just don't think he has found it. I'm just worried he is not going to eat if I don't feed him with the tongs or should I just wait? I want to pick him up and place him on it but I think it would stress him out to much, unless my girlfriend does because he seems to like her better

just keep up with the cup feeding, imo he will eventually find it, he might just be scared of it, you havent had him very long and probably still needs to get used to the new environment give it another week and he will be fine

Use a plastic shoe box. The cup is probably too small to let the crickets move enough to get his attention. A shoe box let's the crickets walk around over a larger area, allows him to actually hunt, but keeps all the food in one place! Problem solved!

alright i'll wait a little longer, if that does not seem to work I will try switching to the box witch I will prob do anyway it sounds a lot better
