My 5 month old jackson chameleon is rather inquisitive and adventurous. After sitting on my shoulder or head for a few minutes he'll try to venture off. But sometimes, usually only when walking up and down the stairs or through the hallways, he'll reach up as if to grab an invisible branch. I have to really be careful because as much as he's desperately trying to stretch and reach up. he'll fall over if I don't put my hand under him. Why is he doing this? I have my own ideas but there is nothing out of the ordinary, the walls or a light brown colour. I am thinking he just sees the colours and tries to go for it but misjudging the distance that much? It doesn't really make sense to me.
Any idea as to why he is doing this, and any ways to help?
