its' growing up my outside enclosure

if it's safe ill let it take over the enclosure as it will provide alot of cover, if not ill hack it down.

I am not sure what that is... but usually trumpet flowers have hallucinogenic property... so, it is definitely a NO NO.

It is a weed known as Bindweed. Found this info on the net: http://www.dgsgardening.btinternet.co.uk/bindweed.htm. Scientific name is Convolvulus. We used to call the flowers 'Granny Pop Out of Beds' when we were kids as you can squeeze the base of the flower and the flower 'pops' off the plant. They have a milky white sap too if I remember correctly.

I think there may be some toxicity to it when tested on mice (can't find much on toxicity), so I would personally remove all trace of it as my new cham is a leaf eater!

After further research there is some toxicity to horses and guinea pigs, so I wouldn't risk it! Chameleons are far too precious to take any risk with!

We used to call it Grandfather pop out of bed, hehe, it grows everywhere!!

Not sure about it being safe or not for chams but i know my mate's torts are allowed the leaves... he does his research so im sure he would have asked tort people oh their forum

lol i don't i built that enclosure just for the summer and good days we get from time to time here in london!

How's it going? Yeah, that vine is pretty bad news for a cham so ditch it! Shame, as it grows well and looks nice!

If you want something to leave outside all year round you should go for a camelia (or two!)! :D I did say before but I forgive you for forgetting.

You had your cham outside much?

Yeah i'll get it out asap. (before he goes in at least) yeah those camelia are hard to find how much do they cost roughly as well? lol

Any good garden centre should have loads of the things! They're so easy to look after that people always buy them! :D

I think I got my 3ft one for £6.something! Not bad! It grows pretty well indoors but really flourishes outside!
