Is it safe to feed your chameleon lettuce? i fed her a piece of lettuce one day because i saw that she was trying to eat the fake plants in her cage. she ate the whole piece within minutes. Now she loves it! whenever she sees i have lettuce she will climb to the front of the cage and eat it out of my hand. the only reason i still feed it to her is because its one of the only ways i can get her to drink water. when i wash off the lettuce, little water droplets stay on there and she eats them. so is it safe for her to be eating the lettuce?

Yes it is safe I feed domain and collard greens too my veiled female she loves it too my males only one and a while they will take it

yes it woud be ok, but most panthers will not eat fruits and veggies like the veilds. If by some chance your cham will eat it, don't use the regular lettuce. It holds little nutritional value. Try using Romaine, or kale or mustard greens, collard greens etc.

thanks

thanks guys :) yeah she absolutely loves it. its the only time she will ever let me near her without totally freaking out lol. any other suggestions on food that will help giver the nutrients she needs besides crickets and meal worms?

Just make sure you are not feeding iceberg lettuce. It has very little nutritional value. Stick with romaine lettuce, collard greens, mustard greens, kale, hibiscus flowers, and so on.
