Is this normal??

My female veiled has been climbing around her cage alot in the past couple of days. is this normal? i know pacing around can mean that she wants to lay eggs, but she is still eating a lot and seems to want nothing to do with laying eggs. im confused.

How old is she? Did she gain weight the last weeks? Was she mated - if yes, when? Is there a place inside her cage she could lay eggs?

Chameleons usually do climb around a lot. I'd be concerned the other way around if she was lethargic.

she has looked a little more chubby these past couple of weeks. shes about 6 or 7 months old. her cage is not big enough to put a big laying bin in the bottom, but we r working on it.

yeah she never really sits in one place for too long.

You need a miniature bin in the cage so you can tell when she needs to lay, to move her to the larger one.

i have a little one in there. it looks like she may have walked across the sand and maybe scratched it, but there arent really any holes dug.... so idk

she has her normal colors, maybe a little less vibrant than usual. her cage is 16x18x24 inches i think. its the medium sized reptibreeze cage.

well Mine, since being gravid has only been showing her black bars and starting to show blues and gold, even when I'm not around, so I know I'm not stressing her and shes been pacing around like crazy. she's also been trying to get out and extra pissy (guessing she is searching for a male?)
I would upgrade your cham to the xtralarge reptibreeze or another brand of similar size. Camille was much happier when I moved her out of the 16x16x30 cage to her big 2x2x4 foot reptibreeze.

Yeah i will b getting a bigger cage in the next couple of weeks. money has been tight for us so we have been waiting to get one. we finally had to brake down and buy new light domes for her lights cuz her heat bulb blew out and scared the hell out of me. i cant even imagine how it scared her.
