Is this normal?

I’ve noticed my cham lying down / resting on her yucca plant while basking. Just wondering if this is normal and if anyone else’s chams do this?

They will occasionally turn sideways to bask but I'm wondering if this is more due to the fact that the Yucca plant leaves aren't very stable.

Honestly i set things up so they do this on purpose. When they vertical bask on their side, they dont bask as long, and there is no hot spots on the head and back. So i off set my vertical bulbs so that they kinda realize where the heat is, and then have to lean over to sun.

I mean which looks more natural/safer?
