Is this an early sign of MBD or am I just paranoid?

Its just his wrist area looks a little bent to me....His grip is strong and he eats well. I admit my gut loading hasn't been top notch lately because we haven't made our grocery run this week. I think Im just being a worry wart, help me please! :(

I don't know about MBD but it does not look right to me either. Does it look like that no matter how he is holding it?

I think his leg looks ok in the other pics. It must have been the camera or the way he was holding it. It looks straight in those pics.

I agree, especially if you only noticed it in the photo. It looks fine in the others :)

Is Oliver usually that pale colored like he is in the first photo?

What are you gut loading with? Or usually gut loading with ' I saw you said you just went to to store.

No not in the cage, he gets that way right after I take him out.

Usually I gut load with bug burger, dino fuel and random veggies and he gets roaches, supers, silks, butters and hornworms :)

Honestly yes, not shaky, but I've seen him kinda tuck it in. This isn't all the time, he doesn't favor it and still uses it normally.

I wonder if he broke or fractured it. The only way of knowing would be to get an X-ray done. An x ray would be able to tell you if there was a fracture but also tell you the density of his bones...if he is low on calcium or not

His arms don't look bowed like a typical mbd case but weak bones can also get broken or fractured more easily

Charms are funny when showing pain... most of the time they don't let on about it at all

:( Poor babies

If he did break it, can vets set chameleon bones? I mean can they splint something so tiny?

I believe so..honestly I am not sure

Most likely treatment will involve lots of calcium supplimemt and a fresh uvb bulb...natural sunlight , weather permitting

Actually Jann had a veiled that broke her leg... she would know treatment for broken bones if that is what it is

After my baby Elly was x-rayed and it was determined she had a broken leg my vet made a make shift cast out of flexible non-stick tape called Vet-Flex of Co-Flex. It will be strong enough and cushioned enough to provide stability. We had to change the "cast" often and we kept Elly's leg wrapped for about four weeks. Some vets don't wrap the broke leg and think it can cause more breaks. Also the vet put her on a daily dose of liquid calcium.
