is this a good deal?

That light is good. I don't know if the price is good. I would have to figure everything out individually and see if that is a good deal. I would order Repcal Calcium with d3(Pink Label), Repcal Herptivite Multivitamin(Blue Label) and get Stickly Tongue Farms Minerall phosphorous free calcium with no d3 OUTDOOR forumla. These are the vitamins that my breeder recommends and they seem to be working well for my chameleon. There are many others to choose from, but these are just what I use.

Not to start any trouble here, I order from almost everyone ! Check out DIY cages they have awesome prices as well. You however will still need to purchase your 5.0 UVB Liner or bulb, many here use the liner I use both! and your dome basking light. My cage floors are bare, though some prefer to use , paper towel, hand towels or whatever they come up with as being efficient for them. also u are going to need some sort of live plants though some use false. All up to you and whatever your budget is. As Carol has stated already make sure your supplements are correct, and o ahead an add up what your cost would be w/out purchasing a package. You will also need to provide fresh veggies/fruit for your feeder insects. The list goes on, and on. If you do not mind me asking what part of the country do u reside in?

The only thing with that cage is its pretty dark and kind of hard to see your chameleon. Plus it has a zipper which gets annoying. I would get everything seperate for a better cage and it wouldnt be that much more

You will need a cage bigger than that 28" x 16.5" x 30" eventually anyway, better to just start off with it and not have to buy another later.

Looks like a cheap stick on thermometer, you prob want a digital one with a sensor you can put at the basking spot.

that cage is 65$ on there
you can get a dome light for like 8$ at a home improvement store
maybe 25$ for that florescent light hood and again if you wanna go cheap can find one at a home improvement store that works just fine.
15$ for the 5.0 bulb..
maybe 5$ for the fake plant. "better off getting some real ones"
which leaves like 50$ for the cham
not a bad deal but ...

also need a mister/dipper, a hydrometer, and the three supplements.

I just spent around $270 for everything I need with a 24x24x48in cage just for a reference on what it would cost for everything individualy. This doesn't include the chameleon and feeders. Its not a cheap hobby but no where near my other saltwater reef tank hobby that cost me $1000 just for a light
