Is there anything I can do?

My cham has not done his "business" in a week now. It was 11/12 when he did it last time. In the past week he ate about 20 crickets and 10 superworms. Is it normal?

I wouldn't say "normal" but it does happen. Have you tried putting him in a warm shower or misting him directly with warm water?. My cham will poop instantly sometimes if I mist him directly with warm water. I have never tried this, but was told also, to get a shallow dish of warm water and try to let your cham soak (if you can handle him and this is doable) to try and stimulate him to poop. Lastly are you 100% sure that you checked every inch of the cage and you didnt miss the poop on a leaf, branch, etc.?

I have never had to do it but was told from a reliable member on here to let their stomach and vent area lie in the warm water.

Along with some warm misting/showering, you can try to gently massage his stomach. I know that it worked for a few chameleons.

You can also let your chameleon explore somewhere that is not his enclosure, as long as he is able to wander in a high level (like 6 feet above the ground or higher). Chameleons often poop when exploring outside of their enclosure when they are high above the ground.

Finally, i know that some people give grape oil or paraffin oil to help them defecate. Of course this is in small quantities!!!

Good luck!

Do you have a bottle of reptaid laying around? A day or two of that usually gets my guys to due their business. If you don't I would go with Jann's suggestion and feed him a couple slivers of grapes.

Thanks for all the replies. Three minutes in the warm bah did the trick. I guess did not like the bath at first and hist at me couple of times, but then he got used to the water and did it. I wander what caused it in the first plays. I hope it is not going to be a regular occurrence. He is very mellow so far but I am afraid as he grows bigger he wont be so tolerant of me.

yay! So glad that he went!!!!. Could he have injested or eaten anything that would have caused him to be blocked up? Just a thought.......

He stopped eating roaches, silkwarms or hornwarm. Right now he only eat crickets and superworms. I thought that supers could cause the impaction, but I was told that they are OK, still I do not five him that much supers anyway.
