is the zilla tropical 25 uvb fluorescent t8 bulb safe

Ok i bought a zilla tropical 25 uvb fluorescent t8 bulb with hood. The uvb was being blocked by a plastic hood so a broke it off.(oops). I heard the bulb inside was not safe so any reviews. Any help would be awesome
