Is she egg bounding

Here is chameleon I’m not sure if she’s unable to lay her eggs. It’s only at night when she’s sleeping where her belly looks lumpy. during the day, She looks skinny. I have a bin for her inside but not sure if it’s suitable. The bin I have is more like a trash can that’s similar to a deep flower pot. I’ve been thinking of taking her to a vet. I live in the middle of O.C. & L.A. county in Cali if anyone knows a good a vet with good pricing plz let me know. But do y’all think is she egg bounding? I give her calcium without D3 also vitamin 2 or 1 a month

Do you keep a light on her at night? A red light? These red bulbs are not supposed to be used with chams. And they actually should not have any form of light at night.

What are you using for soil in the pot? I would replace this with a bin instead.

She does look egg bound. Also as cool as red lights look in enclosures. They are bad for chameleons. I would remove immediately. Could cause eyes issues. They need darkness at night and a temp drop of around 10 degrees. Can you show a better pic of your lay bin please.

No she’s pretty active. Doest move slow. She hates attention so whenever I walk in my room. She’s quick to to hide. Never saw her sleep in the day

For the soil I bought coconut husk the zoo Med brand. I have the red light on cause at night I leave my window open and fan on. And I know sometimes it barley goes under 50 degrees. But I will take it down.

I've used washed play sand produced by Kings for a substrate in the laybins. The chameleon's seem to like it and it has never caused impaction issues with the females. It holds a tunnel well too.

If you grab a handful of dirt from laybin and squeeze it with your hand and it holds shape without any dripping, that's a good way to tell

I'm in Canada so I get the sand at Home Depot. I'm not sure where you can get it.

Can try Amazon. I got my laying bin organic play sand an potting soil organic from there. Around 25 with shipping.

No light on at night at all. This screws up their sleep patterns. Plus red bulbs can damage their eyes. If it gets too far below 50 then you need to close the window.
