I have no idea I’ve had him for 5 years. I have not done anything different. How would it get burnt?? There is a large space between his perch and the lamps. The lamp is on the outside

Something definitely happened to that casque. It looks like it isn’t deformed due to mbd or something, but something happened to it. I could be wrong though. Also I am not someone experienced with thermal burns but IMO that brown on his head and casque and a little on his back seems burnt not just coloring. Is that brown color a recent development?

These are pics over the years.

ok. If he does have an eye infection and is obese, that is treatable. There need to be some changes with his husbandry though. Try not to stress to much however, he will be ok as long as you can correct some husbandry issues. Do you have any screen separating the lights from him??

Yes the light is on top of screen. I have noticed that he is very clumsy and has taken a few tumbles down his cage. Maybe he injured it??

Possible... although that casque looks like even a tumble couldn’t have done all that. I do not want (or mean) to sound harsh, but he is probably “clumsy“ because of insufficient uvb lighting. He is under a compact bulb, correct? He needs a linear 5.0 t5 HO bulb.
