Is my cham sick

I brought home my Cham on Monday and when I got him home he was very active.... On Thursday up until today the cham has been sittin at the bottom of the plant. I am misting my cage twice a day and he also has a dipper for water supply... the basket spot is at 90 to 85 deg and the cool spot is between 70 to 75 deg and the humidity varies between 30 to 51 before misting to 60 to 98 deg after being mist. I called the pet store today and they informed me that he may be stressed, dry or cold... they informed me to mist the cage 3 0r 4 time a day and not the Cham... i called another pet store and they informed me that the Cham was active because he was trying to get out the cage... they instructed me to mist the cage and to leave him alone for a week just make sure that he eats and he will be okay the cham is just stressed and realized that he can't exscape off the cage... today the Cham didn't eat....:( HELP!

Post the current picture of your chameleon and the husbandry, perhaps we can help pinpoint the problems.
Staying at the bottom of the cage is not a good sign.

He's a Ambilobe Panther Chameleon and he is about a year old. He came out from the plant this morning and is doing ok. Here are some pix.

i still am not convinced powersuns are soficiant. i woul still use the clasic tube uvb reptisun 5.0 or reptiglo 5.0 with a incondesant basking bulb.

Uvb.....

I agree about the Power Suns....if you don't have a meter then get a traditional linear tube like the Reptisun. With that black mesh cage and the height of your cage you can use a 10.0 bulb. That black mesh cuts the UVB quite a bit. His current basking branches are barely in range of a 5.0. Anything below the upper branches is totally out of range. PowerSuns are great for your Beardie. I use them for my iguanas. They can be used in big cham set-ups too, but you really need a meter to figure out placement. They are very strong.

Also, don't mist your male (nice looking one by the way). Mist his foliage several times a day. Many chams do not like to be misted directly. That is one reason he may hide. Some get used to it and enjoy being misted directly. For now, let him adjust. He will go down to the foliage to drink. He looks healthy enough that I'd worry about the lighting and the misting first. He won't starve in a day or two. He may not eat in front of you for awhile. If you find poop, then he is eating.

He looks like my little guy that i just lost (Picasso)
(not sure if this was answered already ) Does he have a UVB...in the pic it looks like 2 basking lights unless one of those is a UVB. I prefer the long UV lights for their sunlight...some say it is more effective.
Good luck

I have some more pix of him.

Nice looking cham by the way. I have beardies as well but don't confuse the 2 differnt species. Chams are MUCH more sensitive than any beardie i've ever had. I would recomend the tubular uvbs aswell.

Yeah there has been alot of bad press about the coiled bulbs and before all the infor came out i had 2 male chams that had major eye issues. Don't forget to change your bulb every 6 mos.

Thank You everyone and is the Zilla Tropical 25 series 15 watt T8 fluorescent bulb a good one? What sould be the basking wattage? Does it matter what color the bulb is cause I was told that the white bulb will mess up the Cham eyes. what waatage should be the night lamp? I need help with my Cham...
