hello, i have a 7 month old female veiled cham and on her casque there is a small white patch. just wondering if this is something to deal with or is it normal for veiled chams to get this?

agreed. if that is the case a bit of neosporin can help with both to keep it moist and fight possible infection. some better pics would be wayyyy helpful

Welcome to the Chameleon Forums. This is a great place to learn about chameleons. I would highly recommend Silver Sulfadazine for the burn on your girls casque. I keep veileds along with panthers and a parsonii and have wrote a couple of blogs for new members. The first is for general care with a section and a link for females. The second in for the laying bin and egg laying. If you don't have a laying bin for your girl I would highly recommend you put one in with her now. Jann

sorry for the bad pictures.. cant afford HD haha. I felt the mesh infront of her basking lamp and it burnt me, so im positive it is a burn. i moved the light further away from the cage so im hoping this will make the cage a little less warm. I also did a temp check and her light was at 104*F at about 6 inches. the light is now at about 8 inches

That is better :) did you put the Silver Sulfadazine on like Jannb suggested since you know for sure it is a burn?

Welcome to the forums! Here is to raising a healthy, happy Cham :)

Silver Sulfadazine?

where am i able to get this? I have a Polytopic antibiotic ointment im just not sure if it will the same.

the silver is made just for burns- but if you do not have it better to treat with what you have than to have an infection set in
