Shure but with the window shut it wont get any uv rays. Still it seems to perk them up.

UVB rays dont pass through glass.
So while it will help wiht getting warmth, it wont provide the beneficial UVB rays that the sun provides.

A bird can easily snatch your chameleon, or it could eat a poisonous bug. Be very watchful.

she is fine i watched her the whole time she was climbing up my blinds string she was so green so i guess she was real happy because she doesnt have much to climb in her cage until her new one gets her in the mail

An open window is perfect only if you have the window-screen in place. I let all of my chameleons roam all over the window-screen to get their sun all of the time. This protects them from predators, prevents them from eating bugs that could be contaminated with pesticides or mites, and they love it!
