is it normal??

my veiled refuses to be cup fed any longer and only eats crix that free range in his cage.. he stopped from one day to the next..
when i would cup feed he would walk up on my hand and then eat off the cup..
he even went on a hunger strike for 3 days!! he would look at the cup and say nope!!
i guess hes growing up and wants to eat on his own..

yeah... it happens, it probably takes the fun out of him hunting for food. as long as he is eating he is good.

I tried the cup thing, but didn't work out for me.So i had to stay with free ranging the crickets.

maybe he got bored
Try moving the cup to a different location
Try offering something other than crickets

Mine cup feed most of the time, but I still free-range prey at least once a week. This probably helps keep them interested and they do seem to "enjoy" the hunt

i feed him silkies every couple days..and the occasional house fly.
he does seen to roam his territory a lot more..
he eats great though and his behavior seems normal.
il try cup feeding again in the future but i doubt he'l give up the hunt ..haha
