Is it normal for chameleon to have visible black veins after death?

My chameleon died recently (I don't want your pity) of old age. When she died, she had these beautiful black veins visible on her back.
Is it normal for chameleon after death to have this? I thought maybe it's her blood circulation stopping? Anybody ever seen something similiar? Is it normal?
