Is he starting to shed?

My 5 month old veiled has white around both nostrils. I just saw this today and it wasn't there a couple hours ago. I was thinking it was him starting to shed but could this be anything else?

excess calcium is my guess, i could be wrong though ! i dont think its shedding

continue to dust, just dust less ! make sure your circkets arent ghosts but just a little shade of white on them !

how i do it personally if i feed 10 crickets i dust 3 heavily ! its much easier

Excess calcium is not excreted through the nostrils it is other salts.

What kind of water are you using to mist/drip with? If Tap water is being used, your local source may have a high sodium level. Same thing happened to me with my chameleon. I was using tap water, saw the build up around the nostrils, and started using a brita water filter with the water I was using. haven't seen the crusty build up since January.
