Is 13w. UVB to much?

Can be a few things. Has it been hot lately? Chameleons will seek a low spot to escape heat if too warm. Or, like you said, could be looking for food. But if a female more likely looking for place to deposit eggs. What size cage are you keeping her in?

No she's not ready to lay eggs unless you have shown her a male

Females have been known to develop infertile eggs that young but I almost am inclined to think that it's more of an issue with temps, since that cage is so tiny. There's really no where to go to escape the heat if it's getting too warm. Can you tell us more about the lighting, temps, and the female with a few photos, if possible?

The temp in the cage is usually between 85-95%.... The UVB bulb is 13w.. The bulb sits about a half inch from the top of the screen cage.. Female use to sit at the top close to the UVB bulb almost all day( not anymore). I use to take her out of her cage before and she would be fine, last time I took her out she kept opening her mouth when my hand got close and she had the black circles and dots as if she was stressed. I am never home, I just go there to feed her, misting is not neccessary since my house is so humid. I do have the lil dripper. Is me not being home effecting the Cham?
