Irritating pardalis!!!!

Good day all.

I got a gravid female pardalis and she went on those stupid irritating self-endured fasts........

Why do most female pardalis go on these eating fasts especially in the first weeks of being gravid? every pardalis i ever bred went on one of these fasts ranging from 2 days till over a week?

Any tips to get her to eat again? i can see she lost a bit of weight...... Just waiting it out till she decides to eat again!!!! as with the others!!!!

she hasnt been eating for a few days now (like a week), before that she just took two mealworms and thats about it....

Who else experiences this?

try waxworms, chams love them and cant refuse them sometimes. or try a feeder she hasnt had before.

have you tried hand feeding her?

First dont really feed mealworms. They can cause impaction in your chameleon. Second, i would only feed 1 or 2 waxworms a month. They are really high in fat and if you feed to much of them, your chameleon will be overweight. Try new feeders like roaches, silkworms, and hornworms

Its not like there are any eggs in her yet.

its like she is bred today and stops eating tomorrow!!!!

oh and in RSA we dont have many feeders available.

Ahhh-another of my early morning "misses"! I was trying to be funny-and have really never experienced a female not eating in the early days of being gravid. Most of mine will stop eating a few days or the day of laying.
