Invasive black stuff

After i misted Google this morning, i noticed that there's some weird black discoloration on his casque, and it looks like it's not going away, I'm also worried about it spreading, it doesn't look like he'll ever have color in that area again, i looked at several pics of veilds and i do know that there is a blackness on the bony parts of the face, but this worries me. Anyone have a similar experience?

Huh, i just looked at another thread "bleeding knees" a little while ago, and i think that might be it.

get a better pic - just make sure it's in focus. Also - are his knees a bit dark too? Usually something like that is a burn. They are so common. USUALLY, it's the dorsal crest just behind the head, and the knees.

I don't have a camera now, no his knees are fine, in fact i believe it is a burn and moved his lamp a little while ago, thanks.
