I had posted about loosing the male jacksons I took on a couple of days ago but I will properly introduce myself. Im Donna and have kept reptiles for years, mostly into snakes and enjoyed breeding some of the rarer geckos. I have kept pygmy chams, panthers and jacksons in the past.

Just this week I have adopted 4 baby jacksons, the parents (now just the mum) and an adult female Fischers.
I have also had my male panther since a baby, now about 14 months.

Heres some pics.

:) Welcome to the forums Donna. I'm Pattie and fairly new to the Chams. Always glad to have someone that has experience with reptiles already. Can help everyone learn form each others experiences. Love your pics. Hope to see you keep posting.

hi thanks, for the welcome. I am just browsing and reading as much as I can about the female fischers as when relaxed she is rather plump and was housed with a male.

Welcome to our world. lots of us are true cham nuts, me included. Plump and housed with a male? I hope she is healthy, and you are ready to raise babies. We have some very knowledgeable members on here with fischers.

Hello, welcome to the forum :) Nice looking set of lizards you've got there, do you still have some geckos and snakes too?
And does your panther have a name? He looks nice and bright but I don't know much about the different colours and locales. Which kind he is?

She may have eggs, it'd be best to get a laying bin ready just to be safe. There are some excellent blogs on setting up bins here as well

Yup, I don't have the male but i'm always ready to raise babies lol. Realize that it can be a long haul and a delicate process with fischers but up for a challenge.

I havn't bred chams before so will be a new venture. Because she is housed in a mesh viv with kitchen roll substrate I have filled various plant pots with soil, some wet some dry some damp and put them in there. Any advice on the best laying medium and depth? Shes not fit to burst or anything but would rather she just settled knowing they were there for when the time comes.

I still have snakes, I breed Hognose morphs but have cut down to just my pets rather than breeding projects. I have a large male hypo BCI, 4 rosy boas, 13 year old blue tongue, a brooks king, royals and the chameleons. About a quarter of what I had.

Thanks, my panthers name is Malcolm lol dont laugh. Hes an ambilobe panther.

His name is Malcolm just to annoy my mum. She was seeing "Malcolm" lorries everywhere she went and the name was driving her mad so I just had to use it.

Welcome welcome! once you start here you get crazy. My wife says I should be on facebook but I dont have time I have Chameleon forum!
