Insects

Was told by a local pet shop when I asked for Dubia roaches they were expensive and difficult to feed to chameleons cause they are burrowing insects. Suggested to feed baby meal worms. Need some info please or suggestions. Want to offer my lil guy a variety. Not sure about meal worms cause of hard shells

Store bought dubia are expensive, and baby dubia will burrow. However if you start now, in 6 months you will have a compost heap that you can throw all your old veg in, and get free dubia for life. Then you just have to learn to feed off dubia with a feeder or tongs etc. You can just throw them into the cage like crickets.

And "meal worms" are not good due to the hard shell. "small super worms" have thin shells, but cant be refrigerated like normal meal worms.
