I had a friend once who had a trap similar to the one shown near the end of the video.
Only it used a 5 gallon white bucket, but had those fins. Every morning the bucket was full 4 or 5" deep of insects to feed the lizards.

I've been trying to remember exactly how that trap looked so I could make one, but can't remember exactly. Wish he had shown it set up...
