Information on Iguanas

Anyone know or have any sites dedicated to care of iguana's? or have an iguana and like to share your keeping information... thanks alot :)

I have an iguana myself. She is 4' 5", and very aggressive. Most iguanas are. I do not reccomend them as pets unless you have a ROOM set aside for them, and a fearless attitude. If you do really want one please get a rescue if you can. Why I say this is because 90% of iguanas that are purchased are put down because they get too big, or are too mean. THey live 20-30 years, they are herbivores. Our Lizzy eats about 3 heads of lettuce a week without adding anything extra to it. They are picky eaters, and are hard to handle.

That said, they are a great conversation starter. I'm saying be very careful with them. If you have any questions please feel free to ask me.

If you do decide to get one, please get a rescue if you can. 90% of iguanas are put down because their owner didn't know how big they'd get, and didn't know how aggressive they can be. My girl is a rescue.
