Incubation ventilation?

Any experienced breeders have preferred method of ventilation. As in size of ventilation hole? Location?

Also I have read research about not using any ventilation hole, although this was not based on panther eggs. The idea was based on eggs being buried which still applies. Anyone ever not use a ventilation hole???

I don't have ventilation holes for my pygmy eggs and they incubate and hatch great! I've heard some panther breeders say the same, and I know some poke holes. If you do poke holes they should be very small or the substrate will dry out quickly.

Think about it... do eggs in the wild have ventilation when they are 12 inches underground? Nope, so no need to have ventilation holes

Depends how tight your lid is. You should ask what type of container the non-hole folks are using. I do use holes. I also live in a ideally humid area.
