incubating with hatchrite

had much water do you add to it to be good enough to use for chameleon eggs. and has anybody used it with good results.i have it for my crested geckos and was just thinking if it could be used for chameleons. thanks

I thought that stuff came ready to use. I could be wrong thought. I know that with vermiculite, you want to be able to hold it in your hand and squeeze it and only see maybe a drop or two drip. Anymore and it's too wet, causing mold and other issues. Maybe it's the same for hatchrite....

Guess we'll just have to wait for someone else to pitch in.

I just got a 100% veiled hatch rate with it. I have quite a few panther clutches on it and its holding up well and ive never added any moisture. My soonest panther clutch that i have on hatchrite has 3 or so months left so we'll see how it gos! Ive seen other users on here hatch panthers with it with 100% hatch rates.

It seems too dry out of the bag for my taste. So I just add a little water so condensation build a very little on the lid.

Your right it does seem dry out of the bag but i see condensation climb up the sides of the container so i have just kept it how it is so far. I hear alot of people adding water and some not.

Just to clarify

I only use a tiny bit of water. Just a few drops around the sides. I was a little paranoid it seemed so dry.
