In da poop

Mkay, my panther chameleon poops just fine. I just have a question. The white part of the poop tends to be a little on the orangeish side. I thought this was because of the crix he ate, which were gut loaded with veggies and those orange fluker cube thingies.

But he's been eatin' worms the past couple of days, still has orange stuff in the white part of his poop. Is this something to be concerned with?

Overall seems generally healthy cept for an eye crust problem a few days ago, which has not reoccurred.

Orange urate indicates dehydration. I would increase his mistings and add a drippier if you don't have one.

How often do you mist? Do you see him drink?

It would also help to increase the length of time you mist him.

That's another thread that I posted those questions as well as answers and pics to.

And alrighty, I'm glad to see a good solid answer. I'll be certain to increase his mistings as well as his misting times. Usually we see him drink, sometimes we don't. It's a give or take. When he does drink he drinks for quite a while though. Today I'm going to try poking a pin through a cup technique and leave it dripping off a leaf and into a container so it doesn't get his tank bottom flooded. I'll let it drip for a while and see if he drinks..

Thanks for the heads up folks. :) Appreciate it!

:DKeep an eye on his feces and urates. best case senario is that it will clear in the next day or so...if it hasn't cleared in a few days please hit us back...

Good luck :D
