Immunazation Shots! :(

Good morning everyone and afternoon, yesterday i found out that on monday i have to go to the doctors for a physical and to get my shots for 7th grade. I hate the docotr so much i strted crying when they gave me a blood test but when i saw the needle i was like just do it and calmed down. Does anyone know how many shots you get for 7th grade? They wont let me go in if i dont have the shots

Usually it is just one shot at that age, and usually your last unless you are behind for some reason. No big deal.

Clea I know your young....suck it up mate, needles aren't that big of a deal. I get 2 14 gage needles shoved in my arm 3 times a week. And no it isn't for fun.

Hey Clea!! I'm 12 too! And i got 2 in November. they didnt hurt at ALLL! But the girls all got these new HPV shots. A lot of the girls fainted. One went blind. (only for about 2 mins) but anyways, they dont hurt. Dont worry man!

Hey buddy i think they give you 31 shots and two of them are in the testicles!! i just had to have it done then they kick you in the ass and call you demeaning names to test your ability to cope with stress then they smack you in the back of the head and send you home a broken man

Dialysis. Notice the bumps in that arm? That is a surgically altered vein that is tapped directly into the main artery. Arteries have a higher Blood pressure than veins so when they tap in to it with a vein it causes the vein to swell. That thing is about as big around as a quarter. All that is for an easy access for the needles

Clea the tetnus shot hurts for one of two reasons or both, its given into the muscle of your arm, so if you tense up it will hurt alot more.
The second reason is that the serum is cold, colder than than your tissues anyway, this does cause some disconfort aswell, BUT...its only temporary.
If the person giving it is rough, it can hurt, but im sure most try to make it quick as possible and hurt as little as possible.

There may be some swelling at the site for a few hours after, perhaps even bruising for a day or two, just like a thump from your buddy 'pinch N punch for first day of the month'


But the actually needle wont hurt for long at all, 10 mins if that.
Youll be fine, just remember to let yourself relax, and dont look, it helps

Yep, I am but as I am relatively healthy it will probably be a couple to a few yrs until I get one. No one in my fam is a match, and my Mother and Father are out of the question as a possible donors.

i just found out that i have to get 4 shots today, i doubt it will hurt, my shots before only felt like getting shot with a bb gun, which i am used to. tetanus is what i am getting toda, they are the big ones.

In my country we dont need to take shots for grades.

Im in gr8 now and havnt had an injection for like atleast 5 years.
