Well, my local pet store was decent, but lately the only person who runs it is being a snob. Yesterday I went in to get some CGD that a friend dropped off for me and she asked what happened to Edna, I tried to get two words in and she cut me off thinking she knew the whole situation. She assumed so much, I finally told her to shut her trap and let me get a word out and tell her the truth and to not make up words. She then quit talking and I got what I needed to say out, today I went back and got crickets for the reptiles and she was nice today at least. I rescued three bearded dragons and needed a 40-75 gallon tank for them, she got one in, cracked none the less but still it would hold the animals.. She promised to hold it for me until last week when I could afford it. She then proceeded to sell the thing so I now have the animals in large tubs until I can get the setups for them in my area. I have one possibly coming up this weekend to get.. It's only a 40 breeder but it will work for now until they are re-homed. Anyway, she then asks me about my gravid crested gecko, and I told her she's fine, especially since I just got her this past weekend. She automatically said I can't wait to have babies in the store? What makes her automatically think she's getting everything that I produce? I'm more than likely not even going to let them go (the first clutch) and if I would they would be to homes that I personally know and can visit to see if they are going to the right place, not because they are 'cool'. To add on to this heat she keeps getting upset because I rescued three bearded dragons, two ornate box turtles and I got them for free, also because I run the local herpetological society and it's taking off, slowly but surely.. She's got some serious jealousy issues. She's got over priced everything and thinks she knows everything when it comes to shipping animals and everything reptile.. She knows honestly nothing. She doesn't own any, and hardly gets any in her store. She refuses to help cater to the reptile community because she doesn't care for them much and because people locally don't care too much for them. She won't help people with snakes and won't allow them in her store because people think they will eat them, she won't even get them frozen feeders anymore because apparently people are too scared of them. She gets in these half dead animals and sells them for a bunch of money and then she doesn't even bother trying to get the proper setups for them when they are purchased or for when they are adults. She only carries crickets, superworms, and mealworms. She refuses to get any other feeder because other people won't like them. I'm sure if she gave it a shot they would love it.. I'm starting to wish we had a petco or petsmart here. They are more reliable than a half a**ed pet shop that could care less about the customers. That's my rant..
