Could you post a picture of your full setup. Looks like it could use more hiding places and vines.

I might be able to help, but you need to post some photo's of the setup. and are you misting the cage often?

I mist 4-5times a day for about 2-4min...

Okay try putting even more plants in the enclosure, vines and long thick plants should work, If this continues you may want to take your chameleon to a vet. I hope this helped! :)

Ok i was actually pondering if wether that would be the issue since i tend to catch it in the corners were the light doesnt hit as much, thanks alot i sure hope this helps

You need a digital thermometer with a wire lead probe that you can tie to a branch near his basking spot. You have to measure the temps at a basking spot to make sure he can get warm enough. Temps should not exceed 87 F at the basking spot. The position of your light is over an aread where he would have no choice but to climb on the screen right next to it to get warm. The strip thermometer you have stuck to the back of your cage is not sufficient. The advice already offered for more vines is good advice but the reason for more vines and different levels througout the cage is for regulating the temperature. He needs to get closer to the basking lamp to get warmer and move away when he needs to cool down. The dark colors looks like he is cold to me. JMO

What UVB light are you using? Some of the compacts and spirals can cause health issues....maybe he's trying to get away from it?
Also...what's the temp. in the basking area?

I think he looks like a she going by the picture in your avatar , and if so i'd get a laying bin in

I use a Lighting - deep dome w/100w daylight sunglo. Exo terra 5.0 uvb tropical terrarium lamp 18''.

Its basking is 83 degrees. Well after heading out to Michaels for the vines and plants it seems to enjoy it even more, it has more places to move around and hide, since then it hasnt really turned a dark color its stays at its lighter sides.

As for the age and sex im still not sure as im trying to find out myself.
