My chameleon is about 7 inches its probably 7 months old,
I have heard so many different answer to how much multivitamin and D3 I should give my veild chameleon.
-I give him Herptivite multivitamins 2x a week (but it says to mix with calcium but doesn't say how often to give it.
-I dust every cricket with calcium(the pet store said to)
-I give it D3 once a month

if im doing anything wrong pls tell me i dont want it to die

how does a non-gut loaded cricket look? i put a carrot in the crickets box with water is that ok?

also the guy from pet-mart told me to mix the calcium and multivitamins together and give it to them, he wasn't sure he just read the back of the multivitamin bottle.

can i mix 1 dable spoon calcium with 1/4 spoon multivitamin?

I would recommend reading my blog above and not put to much faith in the guy from the pet store. :)

Carrots are good for gutloading but you need to add more variety than that for the best nutrition for your chameleon, also as many different insects as possible. This blog is extremely helpful in finding the best foods to gutload your insects: https://www.chameleonforums.com/blogs/sandrachameleon/75-feeder-nutrition-gutloading.html and https://www.chameleonforums.com/blo...sphorus-ratios-common-good-gutload-foods.html.

There is no one supplementing schedule that fits all situations. You have to consider:
  • What brand of supplements are you using?
  • How often is your chameleon outside, having access to natural sunlight?
  • What types of insects/feeders do you use? (please dont just feed it crickets! it needs/wants variety)
  • What do you gutload with?
  • What type of UVB lighting do you use?
  • What temperature range does the chameleon have access to?
  • What is the Age, Gendre and type (species) of chameleon ?

Rep-Cal is a good brand.
If the chameleon doesnt get sunlight:
Plain calcium at every feeding.
Multivitamin and cal with D3 twice a month.

Reading the blogs provided above will give you pretty much all the info you need;)

To make it easier, you can use the Repashy All In One. I was made aware of this thanks to Solid Snake :D

It takes the guess work out of dusting and can be used daily :D but STILL gutload even though you use this :)
