I have a Panther Ambilobe male who has been sick for weeks now. I took him to the vet two weeks ago, who decided that it was a vit. E deficiency, which in the beginning is what I also thought. However, he was also dehydrated.
Current symptoms are: often dark, lethargic, thirstier than usual, loss of appetite (I've been force-feeding gut-loaded crickets), and very stinky loose stools. In desperation, I started him on liquid antibiotics left over from treating for a snake with an upper RI (not housed in same room, btw), as well as liquid reptile vitamins. I have two females that are fine.
Any ideas?? Thanks!
