Illness hanging on

I have a Panther Ambilobe male who has been sick for weeks now. I took him to the vet two weeks ago, who decided that it was a vit. E deficiency, which in the beginning is what I also thought. However, he was also dehydrated.

Current symptoms are: often dark, lethargic, thirstier than usual, loss of appetite (I've been force-feeding gut-loaded crickets), and very stinky loose stools. In desperation, I started him on liquid antibiotics left over from treating for a snake with an upper RI (not housed in same room, btw), as well as liquid reptile vitamins. I have two females that are fine.

Any ideas?? Thanks!

Please fill in the questions in the thread "how to ask for help" at the top of the health section. We don't have enough information to know what's going on.

Has he had a fecal? Stinky poop often means that a chameleon has parasites.

is his head pointed up?

temps?

i would take a fresh stool to the vet for a fecal to make sure your cham does not have parasites..

need more info...
