ive done a lot of research because im getting a jackson's cham. ive got everything figured out except the plants. ive read pothos, sheflura, and habiscus are the most common, but ive also read pothos and sheflura are semi poisonous to chams that like to eat plants. is that true? ive also read that habiscus is one of the only plants that are not poisonous at all, but habiscus are out of season here in central pa and i cannot find one anywhere! thoughts? has anyone ever had a bad experience with pothos? thats my second choice...

I keep my Jacksons with scheffelera arbicola and they do fine. Never had a problem I could attribute to plants, although I know you'll find through research that they are considered slightly toxic. I get mine from Wal-Mart for like $7 each.

Same here I have a schefflera that I got from Home depo for 10 bucks, and it came with three plants in it. BTW I've heard that veilds and panthers like to chew on some of the leaves, but my jackson has never chewed on his. Just a question to present: are jacksons known to eat plants as well? If not that would also help on choosing a plant. IMO I think the schefflera is the nicest looking though :D
