To figure out what you need that misting system to do, you will need to do some testing on days you are around. So much depends on your particular cham, the house climate, cage setup, your plants, whether you need the system to provide drinking water as well as general humidity.
If all you need is a misting to provide a drink for the cham, you might only need it to mist once or twice a day long enough to create lots of water droplets on the cage foliage. And, you need to make sure your cham prefers to get its water that way.
If you need the mister to keep the cage properly humid also, you'll need to know how long it takes the cage to dry out after a misting cycle and how long it takes for the cage to reach the proper level during a cycle.
Start off by recording your room humidity accurately. Remember, this can change a lot depending on the season (heating or AC in summer). Mist the cage so your cham can drink and clean its eyes. Record the humidity level right after you spray the cage down. Keep an eye on the gauge to see how long it takes for the cage to get TOO dry. Run the mister and record how long it takes for the cage to reach the proper humidity level. This way you know how long to run the mister and how often you'll need it to cycle.
