chameleon get puffed up under therre basking light is that normal i mean not all the way puffed up but there lil puff thing they have under there mouth gets big when he is under hes basking light

It's extremely common form them to flatten there bodies and lay sideways to absorb heat/light. As for there "beard" puffing up is usually a sign of fear aggression stress. Most likely from being in your presence or possibly just being exposed while warming up if there's no cover near tge basking area.. in any case though its pretty darn normal.

My female veiled will occasionally puff here beard in the BEGINNING of her basking session, she will stretch it out for a minute or so and then put it back in. But yes as Reptiilover said it is completely normal. My girl even rocks back and fourth pretending she is a leaf when I put crickets or food items in with her lol it is very funny to watch

thanks i was just like i wonder why they get puffed up nd rock back nd forth is he like getting mad at the heat nd i figured cuss when he eats he goes there but i think hes digesting it when he goes under hes basking bulb

Yeah and so it doesn't alarm you, they do tend to temporarily darken up to a dark green to absorb the heat.

My boy always poofs out his little chin in the morning when he makes it to the basking spot. I pretty much think it's the cutest look ever, haha
