Oh this is the most sweetest, sad thread. I’m so sorry about Marlo but you gave him a wonderful life and he taught you so much without realizing it over the years. The memories are precious.
You made the right decision by you and Marlo and don’t feel regret over that. He was lucky to choose you to hang with for 8 long years. Sounds like it was quite an awesome adventure for both of you!

It's always such a struggle to make the decision to put your loved one down, but in the end we always know in our hearts when it's time to say goodbye. You gave Mario an amazing life! I hope you find peace in mind knowing you gave him all the love and support any cham could ever need for a terrific 8 years. Hopefully one day you can open up your heart to another lucky cham and make more beloved memories.
