From the picture I can't tell for sure if it's a burn but you can apply some Silver Suffadiazine Cream twice a day on it for a week to ten days.

yeah i have been reading that you can put that on and im going to purchase some Silvadene cream, i do feel really awful

how close is your basking branch to the light? The only way he would be able to burn the top of his tail like that I would think would be from being too close to the light or being able to touch the hot screen. You say he was "out" you mean outside? Is there anywhere he could have got burned outside of the cage?

id say its 15 to 20 cm away from the basking light maybe a little bit more "/ and i spotted it when he was out his cage, but i live in england so he wont get to go outside often because it aint exactly sunny here lol

Weird then, because it's a hard place to burn. 20cm is a good distance, and if he got it out of his cage I don't know what would have caused it. No metal in the sun that he could have come into contact with, perhaps? Or something along those lines?

Apply the cream now anyway, but see if you can spot the cause of the mysterious burn.

well when he was basking under the light the area that looks like a burn turned really white and when i seen it it thought it was odd to go like that, so would u say it is a burn?

It's just weird that the basking bulb would burn just that section of his tail one day, but not the rest of his back on other days. It's a possible culprit, I just think it's odd. How hot is the basking spot? What kind of bulb wattage does it have?
