Ok so my mother yelled at me the other day while i was misting my chameleons. She said i was nuts. I was trying to figure out what she meant by that so i sat down and looked around my room and realized my chammies have taken over and all my other animals have been moved away and some even to the floor. Just wondering if i should feel guilty?
ball python, rosey boa, sulcata torts, new zeland rabbit and my rats

Your not nuts...Chameleons need be higher then your other animals :) But Im there with ya...I have 2 chameleons with babies hatching as we type! I have 7 ball pythons and 1 red tail boa. I also have an albino pacman frog....on top of that I have 3 rat rack with 5 tubs per rack for breeding my own rats to feed my snakes! So you are a normal Herpter!!! LOL

hahaha i never looked at it like that. at least i'm not the only one. i'm gonna tell mom to leave me alone about it.
oh and btw i'm in the process of looking for schooling in order to become a herpetologist!! :D

hahaha no way man people or unique in there own way ! looks amazing tho you could use a little organization! haha im jk man thats just me i have OCD when it comes to that, shits gotta be in its right place! im thinking about buying my second cham cause i just love my little guy already so much! ha

 yeahhhhh me and my animals kinda live in flith half the time i find something my dog dragged in under my sheets or a present left by my rabbit in the corner of the room. Or one of my feeder mice escapes and reeks havoc on the house. I know where they are by the screams of my mom or sister. I make sure their enclosures are neat and tidy but my room half the time looks like no one has cleaned it in ages!!!!! I clean everyday tho

I'm the same way.. I started with an aquarium.. got crazy with cichlids and water turtles, ended up taking that out of my room and putting it in the living room when I started to read up on chameleons a while back.. then got two red foot tortoises and a chameleon.. then I decided to make an outdoor enclosure for the torts.. so they're out of my room as well.. and now I have three cages for my 3 (soon to be) chameleons, when I get the money.... and I'm waiting for my fourth cage as well.. I have one female nosy be at the moment but its starting to get out of hand haha.. and she is possibly pregnant from my former ambilobe...

Might be worth reining things in a bit to keep your mom and sister calmer, if only so they think reptiles are easy to care for and start to get interested in them as little people rather than objects that make your house unfit to live in occasionally!

If they still give you a hard time, do a little research on very famous naturalists, zoologists etc, every single one of them started off with a childhood menagerie that drove their parents insane!

I don't drive them insane, i drive them up walls. my mom has "had it up to here" with me since i was 12. had 2 map turtles too and a frog and a buncha other critters. peacocks, pigeons and squirils, bats and spiders. i have had it all. most of them i rescue, fix up and rehome to someone who loves them forever and i visit once in awhile...just saw my peacock last week. miss him alot, lil pip. my mom supports me as much as she can. which really is alot more then i could ask from alotta moms. shes a softie.
