I think I can do it....

I tried dubia once and they freaked me out but I think I'm ok now and I would like to try to breed them. Crickets are disgusting, and my silkworms are a lot of work so I need something else for my 3 panthers.

How many do I need to buy to start the colony? How long will it take before I have nymphs to feed off?

My most important question for people who have bred them- did you ever have a child with asthma living with you while you had the dubia? I ask this because my 9-year-old daughter has allergy-induced asthma, and I know that roaches can be very bad for people with asthma. I think it's mostly an issue with roaches that infest a home, but I want to make sure I'm not going to make her sick.
