I think he is scared of the sun.

I just took Picasso outside, it is so warm and sunny, and as soon as we walked out the door he started trying to back further down into my hand and tried his best to lie as flat as he could, and started turning much darker......he really squeezed tight onto my fingers and would look around them like you would look around a corner.....he is only 4 months old and maybe doesn't know just what outside and sunshine are.

My 5 month old panther is still getting used to outside as well. He just turns really dark and holds on tight to my hand. Its hard to get him in to his tree.

Just keep taking him out, he'll get used to it Mine used to be afraid, but now he LOVES it, and will even scratch on the walls by his free range trying to get outside lol
