I talked to Wall-e about a DIET

So I'm thinking Wall-e may need to go on a diet cause his head looks a little CHUNKY.
he eats 3-6 roaches every other day. But I think he may need to go down. I'm not sure if he looks healthy or chunky. Please keep in mind his neck is a little bent as he was climbing and looking up. Also the reason I feed him the way I do is his in a larger enclosure and is always moving.

Yep little man needs a diet... Even with them being in a larger enclosure we do not want to feed more. Unless you have them in a 10x10ft room where they are actually roaming the entire area. Otherwise they do not use enough energy to have the extra food intake. Males of a good weight would be fed anywhere from 3-5 feeders every other day. Now for your boy he is considered obese due to the pockets of fat in the cheeks as well as how round the casque is. I would take him down to 3 medium feeders 2-3 days a week and see if he starts losing grams.

I agree completely about needing to be on a diet. Feed a variety of feeders every third day.

Tell him that the issue is when they start showing fat like this it means they already have developed a fat layer in their abdomen around their organs. What this in turn does is pushes on their organs. It can compromise organ function. So the diet while sad because they look so cute and act like they are starving is very much necessary to avoid major health issues.

Get a kitchen gram scale. Weight him now. Then weigh him every two weeks. You want to see a slow drop in weight a few grams a week.
