i really, really needed this......

there’s only 2 eggs in this batch, the other 29 were infertile and died within 3 weeks. but these two guys have hung on and although one had opened his shell 2 days ago, he hadn’t moved yet. i snipped open his egg a little this afternoon but he looked pretty half-dead and scrawny and pale from what i could see.

i opened the lid this evening, looked down to see him standing there, looking up at me with one eye. the he immediately hopped onto the edge of his little egg container and jumped right off. i cleaned him up a bit, and he just wanted to go and inspect everything. mj and i passed him back and forth for a few minutes, he was having a great time. perfect Sambava U’s on his sides too, which he’s 50% of from his mom’s side.

i’ve had a really bad week with chameleons; really bad. a particular death yesterday really unnerved me to top it off (hopefully it was the top, no more please!). so i needed this. he is adorable!

Sorry about your run of bad luck, but at least u have this adorable little guy ;)

That last pic with him on your thumb tips the "cuteness scale" :)

That's funny about how he hatched and made a flying dive off the egg bin ! :)

You really need to put him in a teacup then sprinkle him with sugar and stir him with a silver teaspoon. Tried with my babies but cresties are too fast, they recreated 'left the lid off the blender'.
