I noticed a small cut on my chameleons hind foot, it's slightly swollen.

Should I use Neosporin? It doesn't look serious, just a small injury. Sorry for the poor picture, it's his middle toe.

Honestly I can't see a thing it is so blurry =P but I wouldn't put neosporin on it. if it is swollen it may be infected or even broken so I would have him checked out.

Called my uncle Todd, he's zoologist/herpetologist in FL, he has some Jackson's as well. He said that Neosporin's ok for chameleons. So I put some on his foot he doesn't seem bothered by it, and has a nice, painfully, strong grip (he's breaking the skin on my wrist!) and now he's relaxing comfortably.

If it's an infection just putting some cream on it won't be enough. Chameleon pus is thick and the infection won't be killed unless it's cleaned out and the chameleon given antibiotics.

if it is an infection this wouldnt work, but try vetericyn. it helps cuts heal faster. :)
