I need to know this for future reference

Found this for you, just so you have it:

wowww, i thought it would be wack, but not this waaacckkkk.... damn dude, some ppl need to get to know their animals and realize they mean a lot more... and ppl who are sick enough to do horrible things to them should be punished...

...a dog in the force is a cop... stab that dog, you just stabbed a cop... so i have been told and heard and even read... not sure true though???

sick in the head person stabs your dog out of anger doesn't get any punishment... damn....

i dont consider the above punishment, i do appreciate u posting this though, thanks.

I agree, it isn't punishment enough. My roommies and I were watching a movie last night, and they flashed that message that says if you steal this movie you'll be fined $250,000 and spend up to 5 years in jail and we thought... wow, (I'm an artist) I'd rather have people steal my artwork and get just 6 months in jail and have animal abusers spend a couple years in for burning a dog alive or something. It's not proportional!

We just adopted a puppy whose mother was a neglect case, and she was so horribly malnourished when they found her and her 6 puppies, she had to be put to sleep. And the owner will probably just pay a fine and serve a lot of community service... it's not right. If I were in a possition of power it's one of the first things I'd do, raise the penalty for animal abuse because people don't feel put off by a punishment of community service.

But as a secondary thought, could you room up with some roommates? You can always find a room for rent near universitities and such, maybe there's someway out that isn't as expensive as living alone?

my younger sister is totally nuts... long story short she has serious anger problems and can be sick in the head. hasn't done anything crazy... yet.. but does make threats.

anyways, lets just say she goes into my chameleon room and kills all my chameleons.... could i get her to do time behind bars, or possibly a dirty state mental hosptial? she's 17... not sure even if a judge will look at reptiles as something to care much about...

this is a serious question, please don't give me answers like... "she shouldn't be living in ur house etc"

I'd just like to know what could be done to give her the best consequence!

What your sister 'might' do, isn't really an issue yet. Why is this your sole responsibility anyway? What about your parents? Do they acknowledge your sister needs help? Have you discussed her behaviour with them?
This is not something to be discussed by strangers on a lizard forum mate, its a family issue that your folks should be dealing with.
If you have real concern she may destroy your animals, visit your hardware store pronto and install locks on your door.
Please speak with parents about this, and best wishes.
